A striking magazine spread of flowers inspired this painting. It took nearly a month before the bouquet began to emerge. Over the next two months, I interspersed layers of silver, black, and color, applying paint with both brushes and my fingers.
Although the flowers remained its foundation, the painting evolved into something entirely unexpected. Many people see fireworks. I see both.
