I love the simplicity of I Need To Live in the Light and the contrast between the bright background and the dark marks moving across it. For me, there was something about the light that I needed at that point in my life.
A friend once described the painting as disturbing. I loved that reaction—not because I saw it the same way, but because the painting evoked such a strong emotion in someone else. I love when a piece leaves room for each person to experience it differently.
I later gifted the painting to a friend who loved it.
