The intention was to create a brighter vs darker piece. I used the contents of some of my squeeze bottles to blend a warmer based and added dollops of acrylic, spread with a latex basting brush. It was a bit heavy on red and dark purple which reflected my mood but not my intent so I continued adding and then lightly brushing at the end to blend. If I can come out of rough week reflecting this, it wasn’t that bad after all.
A little over a year later, I had another very rough week and reflected on this creation. It wasn’t complex enough to illustrate my feelings. Love this piece and all that it symbolizes. Beauty is possible after darkness.
