One week after the passing of my ridgeback, Mabruki, I was overwhelmed with a plethora of emotions. There was enormous relief that he was no longer suffering but his loss came sooner than I expected. After Wimbo passed at 14+, I expected Mabruki would have more time together. Each loss of my 4 dogs has been different, but Mabruki was my youngest and sole companion after Wimbo. His last day was as perfect as possible and his passing at home was loving and peaceful. Always the hardest decision but returning the unconditional love at the end is what they deserve.
