This painting evolved over about three weeks. It began with a Snow Cone Green base, but I kept returning to it, adding layer after layer of purple until the original surface was almost completely transformed.
Near the end, I began adding small bursts of bright color—green, turquoise, yellow, red, white—scattered across the surface. Against all that purple, those little marks changed everything. They gave my eyes places to land and brought the painting to life.
I kept working until looking at it simply made me happy.
