This is a very simple, light piece inspired by how slippery life quickly became in Covid. It’s something I would usually use as an outlet and paint over. However, there is something that fascinates me about it’s texture vs appearance. It’s semi-gloss so flat and slippery, yet it appears as if there is more depth to it.
Because it sat around in the studio, it has a couple spots of splatter from some other creation. I can look and look and not see them, and once I find them, I cannot unsee them.
