I poured purple, white, gray, and green paint directly onto the canvas, then used a fork to pull through the wet paint, stretching the colors into long lines and allowing them to blend and separate as they moved across the surface.
Some areas became sweeping bands of color while others opened up, leaving breaks, edges, and exposed canvas. I don’t remember what led me to call the painting Undone, but I do remember reaching a point where I liked what was happening enough to leave it alone.
Sometimes knowing when to stop is part of creating, too.
